André ZALKIN decides to set up a small general mechanics factory, to help out the West Parisian industries by carrying out maintenance on industrial equipment.
André ZALKIN launches on the market a series of semi-automatic labelling and capping machines for bottles. Zalkin company as we know it today is born.
A new production unit is set-up with about 10 employees in Montreuil L’Argillé, in Normandy. The company turns its activity towards automatic capping machines: it is the beginning of a new era. The name of ZALKIN machines, already well established in France, starts crossing borders.
Zalkin becomes a limited company. Under Mr Michel ZALKIN's leadership, son of the founder, the company decides to develop the export market.

Zalkin regularly takes on new challenges and develops the « ZC Line », an innovative on-line quality control system. This allows to extend its activities into a neighbouring market sector: the quality controls and inspection.

With its 300 employees, ZALKIN turns over an annual sales figure of 45 million euros, 74% of which is exported, and delivers one machine per day on average all over the world.
